New surroundings. Everything has a sandy texture and is brightly lit. Lara examines the entrance to the city.
Further on she finds a Sphinx and Obelisk with water and palm trees. She considers putting her feet up and relaxing a while but remembers the importance of the mission.
Lara finds a sapphire key and notices a moveable block at the base of the Sphinx. she pulls it away and enters, then uses the key to open the door - she draws her magnums in readiness.
After seeing off 2 panthers, Lara emerges on a ledge overlooking the grounds of the cat temple. Down below crocodiles roam.
Lara attempts to enter a gateway. On the slope a boulder rolls towards her. Lara leaps to the side to avoid it.
Examining the entrance to the Cat temple Lara notices the floor around the statue. She thinks this must be the way in but needs to find a switch somewhere to open it.
She finds an underwater passage that leads to a gallery. Here she finds the switch to enter the temple.
Inside black Panthers attack Lara, there are many of them but using the magnums Lara is able to prevail.
Lara climbs up to the bridge above. She enters the passage and then runs back. A Mummy is waiting for her. The shotgun makes a useful ally here.
A large empty room with a hatch in the ceiling, but nothing else. Lara explores further and in the room above locates the switch that opens the hatch...
...and dumps tons of sand into the room below. Lara is able to climb the sand and find the exit.
She uses a sapphire key to unlock the doors. Then goes through.
