As Lara emerges into the Diving Area of the Rig she stops at the edge of a pool of water, below a giant blade draws water along, if she dives into the water it would surely draw her in too.
A ladder on the opposite wall looks promising. Lara takes a running jump and grabs the ladder, climbs up and moves on.
Inside the next room large hooks swing erratically. Suddenly armed guards appear and try to shoot her but she is too fast for them.
A pit of slime awaits Lara, probably waste products from the Rig. She has to make the leap across it onto the projecting floor opposite.
Looking through a gap in the floor Lara studies the situation, she can see a guard to care take of and times her move when he is not looking.
She leaps through the hole and slides backwards down the slope, grabbing the edge before she falls off...
...then pulling herself up onto the walkway...
...and drawing her guns as she runs and kills the guard.
Through the doorway and into the main hallway, Lara hides from another guard with a flamethrower. She has no defense to the flames and must kill him swiftly.
Playing a game of cat and mouse Lara stays well out of range of the flamethrower and shoots back when she can.
A helicopter is waiting to take off. As Lara tries to find out who is on board, it lifts off and flies away.
Back inside the rig a thug protects the control room but he is no match for Lara's guns.
To access the central core Lara needs the red pass key, someone has dropped one but the saw is deadly, she finds a way to disable the machine and takes the card.
In the central control room another flamethrower awaits. Lara gives him no time to fire and shoots him quickly. Using the red pass key she opens the door in the middle of the room.
In the corridor Lara overhears an interrogation, it sounds like Marco's voice, she rushes in to confront them and kills both guards, Marco escapes. A monk lies injured on the floor.
