Lara emerges high on a ledge overlooking a small waterway. An armed guard below is ready to ambush her. Without waiting for him, she shoots from the ledge and looks around.
A thug protects the key to the only door out of here. He gives Lara a big whack but she's not having any of it. Out come the pistols - he drops - she takes the key.
Bartoli, the poster looks old but it's possible he's around here someplace near. Using the key Lara unlocks a door and climbs onto the rooftops.
Crossing the rooftop is precarious. The old building is crumbling and as Lara runs the tiles fall from beneath her. One last leap and she's across.
Further on Lara finds a domed roof. Several guards protect the area. After a big shootout Lara secures the roof and searches for a way in.
A section of the roof opens and Lara drops in. It appears to be a control room. One of the switches does not work, the other opens a gate, Lara goes through it.
In the main auditorium Lara marvels at this great opera house. How it must have delighted the crowds in days gone by. The orchestra pit is flooded now and potential dangers lurk everywhere.
Looking around Lara finds herself in the airducts and finds a key, she puts it into her rucksack in case it's needed later.
The lift is broken - there is a missing relay unit which must be found, Lara goes off in search of it.
Underneath the stage, after swimming through dark passages she finds the missing relay unit and picks it up. Then it's back to the lift shaft
Lara takes the lift to the bottom, she climbs out and discovers another underwater labyrinth.
Exploring this she finds the missing electronic panel for the control room.
Back up to the control room again and this time Lara is able to replace the panel and use the switch to open the curtain at the back of the stage. She climbs back down and heads for the stage, still there is no sign of Bartoli.
Amongst the crates Lara comes face to face with the toughest henchman she has yet encountered, he has enormous guns and causes much damage to her. Only by dodging among the crates and firing at close range can she make any impact on him. After a long duel he falls.
Opening the door at the back of the opera house there is a plane waiting. Lara heads inside, she can hear voices...
